2026 Annual Town Meeting - Tuesday, March 3
A list of candidates running for office in 2026 will be available in early February.
If you'd like to run for an office in 2026 and have your name on the ballot at Town Meeting, you need to file a petition with at least 15 signatures. You will also need to sign a form giving consent to have your name on the ballot. Petition and Consent forms are available at the Town Clerk's Office.
On Town Meeting Day, voting polls are open from 9am - 7pm for registered voters to cast votes in our local elections at the Lunenburg Elementary School. If you're not registered to vote, you can obtain an application at the Town Clerk's office before Town Meeting Day.
Town Meeting begins at 10am. Discussion and floor voting on all items on the Town Meeting Day Warning occur at Town Meeting.
Absentee Ballots
Absentee Ballots for local elections:
Absentee ballots for local elections are only available upon request at the Town Clerk's Office. Ballots for local elections are available in mid-February.
Absentee Ballots for Statewide and National Elections:
All registered voters will automatically be sent an absentee ballot for Statewide and National elections.
