Your Town Clerk

The Town Clerk's Office is the hub of local government in Lunenburg/Gilman and serves as the central information point for local residents and citizens.

We maintain land records, vital records, issue licenses (marriage licenses, dog licenses), post board/committee agendas, and administer oaths to elected officials.

The Town Clerk is responsible for all elections, census, and voter registration, as well as overseeing the polling place and the conduct of all elections and elected-related activity, and records all actions of the Town Meeting.

2026 Tax Bills were mailed on Tuesday, September 1st.  Property taxes are due on Friday, October 9th, 2026 at 9pm.  Refer to the information sheet included with your tax bill regarding extended hours during the week of October 6th and 12th for tax bill payments.

The Town Clerk's term is for 3 years. The current Clerk's (Gary Briggs) term expires in March 2029.

Hours

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday:  8 am - 12 noon;  1 pm - 3pm

Tuesday:  8 am - 1pm;  5 pm - 7 pm

Friday:  Closed

Saturday:  Open the first Saturday of each month from 10am - 1pm

All records are available for public research and are available for viewing during normal Town Clerk Office Hours.
