COMPOSTING BOOKS AT THE LIBRARY
August 10, 2024
Check out the new composting books at the Alden Balch Memorial Library
The Alden Balch Memorial Library is featuring its new selection of composting books for children and adults during the month of August. Purchase of the books was made possible through grant funds awarded to Lunenburg from the Lancaster Rotary Club to develop a comprehensive community composting program.

Kate presents Governor Scott with a Lunenburg Mug at the Outdoor Recreation Day at the State House! She met with the Governor, Lt. Governor, Representative John Kascenska, Senator Ingalls, Representative Wells, many folks representing the Outdoor Recreation and Adjacent Industries. Speakers included both the Governor and Lt. Governor as well as the State Treasurer and State Tourism Commissioner. Outdoor Recreation and Tourism account for a tremendous portion of Vermont’s economy and tax revenue, and we continue to look at how Lunenburg can better leverage this opportunity in our community. Opportunities exist for accommodations, businesses and services, and beyond, however most important is ensuring outdoor recreation is accessible to everyone in our community AND that our infrastructure can support it.
